Greetings,
For the last two months, I've been working on two new plastilene sculptures and making a lot of watercolor paintings. Here are some highlights and links: Derek - I spent six weeks working on this sculpture of a wonderful model named Derrick. He's a standing guy holding a stick and looking back over his shoulder to wonder why there's a metal pole sticking out of his butt. Click here for the development blog. Kent Casting - In the past two months, Kent has gotten embedded in liquid rubber, covered with a hard mothermold shell and, as of yesterday, has his first clone made. Kent Clone One suffers from a few air bubbles, but he is solid! Click here for the latest pictures. Watercolor Studies - In an intensive 10-week course with David Soman, I made quite a few watercolor studies of the nude human figure. This is the most challenging subject in the most challenging medium for me, but I enjoy seeing my work develop. Click here for pictures. Stay in touch! april |
