Art News - December 2005

With the help of my photoshop- and tech-savvy friend at springthistle design, I've created some 2006 Calendars with my art on them! There's a wall calendar (above) with a different print for each month. There are also calendar prints,

each of which has one art print and the whole year on it. Sales of these calendars will help to support the classes I hope to take in the spring (see below).

At the cafepress store there are many other items with art printed on them, such as postcards and greeting cards, mugs, and shirts.

Planning Spring Classes

This spring, starting in January, I hope to take two art classes. The first class, Metalworking, is really studio rental and access to cheap materials at Pratt. I will continue (finish?) working on the dog formerly known as a mystery animal and start some other projects as wel.

The second class is called Wax & Bronze, and is offered by SVA. This is a technique I've been hoping to learn for years (no more stinky plastilene? stay tuned!) so I'm very excited about the class.
